Giorgos Karampelas

Giorgos Karampelas is a Creative Director at K-Studio. He holds a Diploma in Architecture from the National Technical University of Athens and a Master of Architectural Studies from the Glasgow School of Art (Mackintosh School of Architecture) with Distinction. Having lived in London and Glasgow for almost a decade, he has collaborated with international practices such as SOM and Populous in large-scale projects, specializing in high-rise buildings and event spaces. His personal work includes award winning competitions in various scales and typologies, from an educational campus in Italy to a public bench in East London. Giorgos joined K-Studio in 2021 as Senior Architect and has been working on projects of different scales, stages and complexity, both in Greece and abroad. He has been successfully coordinating large teams in competitions, masterplans and mixed-use projects, leading to his appointment as a Creative Director in July 2023.

Alexis Chortogiannis

Alexis Chortogiannis is a Creative Director at K-Studio. He received his Diploma in Architecture from the National Technical University of Athens with Distinguished Merit. With a working experience of over 10 years as an architectural and urban designer on various projects and architectural competitions, his design work has covered a broad range of scales, from detailed design of luxury hotels and residential complexes up to large scale mixed-use master plans. He joined K-Studio as an Architect in 2016 and has completed several projects with significant success, leading to his appointment in 2018 as a Senior Architect. He became a Creative Director in September 2019 while leading teams in projects of various scales both in residential and hospitality.

Marina Leventaki

Marina is a Creative Director at K-Studio. She received her Diploma in Architecture from the National Technical University of Athens. After completing her studies, she worked in multidisciplinary positions both in Architecture, Landscape and Set Design, acquiring holistic approach skills in small and large scale projects. She joined K-Studio in 2016 and has led teams as an Architect in various project scales, focusing on residential, hospitality and commercial fields. She was appointed Senior Architect in 2021, gradually took on tasks as a Creative Director in 2022 and currently leads teams in large hospitality projects.

Michalis Skitsas

Michalis Skitsas is a Creative Director at K-Studio. He received his Diploma in Architecture from National Technical University of Athens with Distinguished Merit and his Masters in Urban Design from Pratt Institute in New York with Distinction. Prior to joining K-Studio Michalis has collaborated with SU11 Architecture and Design in New York where he worked on projects of various scales, including receiving Honorable Mention for the Baltic Thermal Pool Park HMMD Competition entry. He has also taught as an Adjunct Assistant Professor and Digital Instructor in Pratt’s Graduate program in Architecture, and at Citytech’s Architectural Technology Program as a Lecturer. He joined K-Studio as an Architect in 2015 and has completed several projects with significant success, leading to his appointment in 2018 as a Creative Director. He is currently leading teams in projects of various scales both in residential and hospitality. In addition, he is a published illustrator and frequent lecturer in advanced software classes, leading seminars in Rhino and Grasshopper.

Marianna Stavridou

Marianna Stavridou is a Creative Director at K-Studio. She received her Master in Architecture from National Technical University of Athens with Distinguished Merit and since then she has collaborated with several architecture firms in Athens. She has also completed several projects as a freelance architect and interior designer. She joined K-Studio as an Architect in 2015 and has completed several projects with significant success, leading to her appointment in 2018 as a Creative Director. She is currently leading teams in projects of various scales with main focus on architectural and interior design projects.

Dimitris Karampatakis

Dimitris Karampatakis, Founding Partner and Creative Director of Greek architecture and design firm K-Studio, began his career whilst completing his studies at the Bartlett School of Architecture. These early works brought him back to Athens and over the following years, in partnership with his brother Konstantinos, the studio took shape and began to build a reputation for a totally context-based approach to design.

“We take the time to consider the whole story of each project. Regardless of scale, location or use, successful design works in harmony with its context and responds appropriately and energetically to the brief.”

K-Studio is now an award-winning practice with projects across the globe, an international staff of architects, designers and administrators, and a halo of collaborators and consultants. As Creative Director, Dimitris believes that growth, especially in the current European climate, relies on flexibility, open mindedness and above all, team spirit.

Konstantinos Karampatakis

Marivenia Chiotopoulou

Marivenia Chiotopoulou is a Creative Director at K-Studio. She started her career whilst completing her studies at the Bartlett School of Architecture, being an integral part of the studio before it was officially consolidated. Her prior work experience also includes internships at other Greek architecture practices. Since 2009 she has been part of K-Studio contributing to various projects, from small restaurants to complex, large-scale marina developments. Along with the studio growth, she has ascended to Creative Director in 2016, carrying the core spirit of the studio for over 10 years. She currently leads teams on residential and retail projects, focusing on holistic narratives for the creation of unique experiences and space identities.

Giorgos Mitrogiorgis is a Creative Director at K-Studio. He began his career after completing his studies at Columbia University (MSc) and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Prior to joining K-Studio, he worked as a freelance architect designing and completing commercial and residential projects. He joined K-Studio as an Architect at the beginning of 2014 and became a creative director in 2016 after successfully completing recognized architectural projects. As a creative director, Giorgos is working on projects of various scales, in collaboration with people from various disciplines, always emphasizing on the architectural narrative to create powerful and successful projects.
