Milan Design Week 2026: Meet us at Alcova Talks

We are thrilled to join Alcova Talks at Milan Design Week 2026, curated by Design Hotels under the theme “Designed to Stay”, a series of conversations at the Baggio Military Hospital as part of Alcova’s wider cultural platform.

During the session “Designed to Evolve: From Concept to Experience”, Dimitris Karampatakis will share the stage with our friends, Nikos Karaflos –Dexamenes Seaside Hotel, Stratis Batayas –Manna, and Josh Hickey –Hydra Book Club, to explore how hospitality spaces move from architectural intent into lived experience.

Join us as we reflect on hospitality as a continuous, collaborative process between design and operation, where hotels become living systems shaped over time by landscape, people, and use.

Building with Earth

We were invited by Damask and Piliko to explore the potential of building with rammed earth in a hands-on workshop.

Shaped from widely accessible raw materials, the process brought us closer to an ancient technique – one defined by its mass, tactility, and quiet environmental intelligence.

"Traditional, Illegal" - A Series of Food Activism Events at Dexamenes

Stirring away from conventional hospitality programs, Dexamenes presents “Traditional, Illegal”, a series of events exploring culinary gestures, knowledge, and practices that have quietly fallen out of use, or even become forbidden.

Through immersive experiences, moments where cooking and communal rituals become acts of cultural preservation, memory, and resistance are brought to life. Kitchens, courtyards, and repurposed spaces transform into stages for ancestral practices, where fire is reclaimed, bread is broken, and the past is lived anew – challenging notions of legality while celebrating care, continuity, and a profound sense of place.

SLEEPER presents the extension of Dexamenes

Sleeper has revealed the eight new rooms of Dexamenes, emerging as a light, elevated structure above the seafront tank.
A “floating” canopy gently frames the horizon, where the Ionian Sea dissolves into the sky in an uninterrupted line.
