AD Spain visits Athens

During a trip to our hometown, the editors of AD Spain presented Perianth as an instance of adaptive reuse of the athenian building stock of polykatoikias, to illustrate the legacy of the concrete innovation of the past century.

We are heading to Tirana to join Bread & Heart Festival‘s second edition, an encounter of global visionaries and local perspectives on hospitality, architecture and dialogue on the future.

Konstantinos Karampatakis will be part of a conversation that will attempt to give answers to the question: Can architects rewrite the tourism brief itself, transforming seasonal extraction into long-term ecological and social value?

The panel will take place on June 4th, at the Glass House, along with a full schedule of talks, discussions and exhibitions within the framework of the theme “Landscapes of Abundance”.

The Travel Project visits Dexamenes

The Travel Project is a visual anthology of independent hotels, shaped by authorship and a deep sense of place.

Perfectly aligning with the story of Dexamenes, their first documentary visits the industrial relic reimagined into a hotel, tracing its journey as it deepens its roots in the local context and sparks meaningful conversations that extend beyond the confines of conventional hospitality.

Athens Kallithea FC, K-Studio and Arup redefine the historic “El Paso” stadium

Athens Kallithea FC, K-Studio and Arup have teamed up for a collaborative regeneration of the historic “El Paso” stadium, reimagining it as an open and inclusive civic ground for sport, culture and everyday life.

Building on the stadium’s strong identity and deep community roots, and the club’s ambition for sporting progression within a values-led framework, the proposal preserves the character of the existing structure while upgrading and expanding its facilities, capacity, and spatial performance.

Rather than introducing a radical transformation, the intervention amplifies and refines the site’s existing layers of public life, strengthening its connection to the neighbourhood and extending its role within the daily life of Kallithea.

At its core, the project positions the stadium as a continuously active civic landscape, deeply rooted in its community and gently evolved for a broader urban future.

MOCNA named an A+ Award Finalist

We are pleased to share that Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino has been selected as a Finalist in the Architecture +Landscape category at the Architizer A+ Awards.

The project draws inspiration from the local agricultural tradition of the mandria – dry stone animal shelters, built by hand by farmers working the land. Formed from stones found on site, these humble structures follow the natural contours of the terrain, embodying a direct and unembellished relationship between architecture and landscape.

The project was developed in collaboration with Tombazis & Associates Architects, and you can cast your vote for it in the Popular Choice Award.
