The ultimate source of inspiration: Travelling

Travelling for site visits is our favourite means of research, in order to discover first hand the diverse cultural contexts, ways of living and understand local heritage.
In one of our recent travels to Morocco, we came across a unique fortified granary building typology, the Agadir, one of the world's most ancient banking systems, that amazed us with its efficiency and remote location.

K-Studio 100% Architect of the year Pavilion

Among the highlights of 2023 is the pavilion we had the chance to put together for the 100% Hotel Show Expo, where awarded as "Architects of the Year" we got to revisit some of our projects in an instinctive, playful and limitless context of building with sand.

Noema Nominated for Archdaily 2024 Building of the Year Awards

In the heart of winter, we are impelled to imagine being in Nōema, a starlit courtyard in the town of Mykonos, thanks to the news that it has been nominated for the 2024 Archdaily Building of the Year Awards.

Nōema is one of our most celebrated collaborations with the Berlin-based design studio Lambs and Lions.

This annual testament to outstanding architectural achievements from around the world invites us all to select our favorite published projects of the year that passed, and you can support Nōema by voting here.

Visit to Tribù HQ

Throwback to last December, when our FF&E team was invited to the Tribù Headquarters
in the beautiful city of Bilzen.

Besides seeing the latest collections of beautifully crafted outdoors furniture, and being taught some of their intricate manufacturing techniques, the hosts organized a curated tour at the Axel Vervoort Gallery.

Liknon Shortlisted in EU Mies Awards

Liknon is a vessel of storytelling for the winemaking heritage of METAXA in the island of Samos.
We are proud to see this story travel far, with the project being chosen as one of the 40 shortlisted projects for the EUmies Awards 2024.

We are grateful for this acknowledgement and for all the trust that the team of Metaxa showed all through the design process.

The photography of the project is work of no other than Claus Brechenmacher & Reiner Baumann.
